King Tides: Part One in “What is Happening to Daufuskie’s Shorelines?” Series

In conjunction with the Daufuskie Island Conservancy and SC SEA Grant, DIIS is pleased to bring to the community part one of our three part series: “What is Happening to Daufuskie’s Shorelines?” Please join us Tuesday, February 27th at 1:00 pm to hear Adam Bode a Coastal Planner from the Department of Health and Environmental Control come speak on king tides. Mr. Bode will discuss what king tides are, why monitoring them is beneficial to communities, and how our community can monitor king tides on Daufuskie. Mr. Bode will also show us how to identify varying tide lines on the beach. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to learn more about these powerful tidal events.
